Album: Balloon Ride - Takeoff
The takeoff was great because it was so calm, besides the dull roar of the gas burners above us, there was really nothing else to experience. You rise up so gracefully, you don't even feel it, and before you know it, you're 1000 feet in the air.

We drifted for about 10 miles, all the time getting to see a lot of the land around us, and hearing absolute quiet and peace except for the occasional dog barking at the curious floating red balloon... heh.

After cruising a long for an hour, we missed a group of fields, and instead found a nice touchdown spot at a desolate intersection. Our pilot, Keith, masterfully glided us down and parallel parked us 6" from the curb. Then, begrudingly, our magical flight was over.
